Selection of Trolleybuses in Operation to Ride On
Once you are in the Trolleybus Museum, all trolleybus rides are free. You can ride on any or all of the trolleybuses that are in service as many times as you like! Upon entry, you are generally given one old penny per adult, an old halfpenny for children (1d and ha'penny for those who remember them!): simply give this to the conductor (who will come round to you) on your first journey and you will receive an all-day ride ticket in exchange. On exceptionally busy days, we may issue the all-day ride ticket when you pay your admission charge.
The trolleybuses in service will be different on each open day, depending on the theme for the day. We usually advertise the ones likely to be operating on our News (Facebook) page a few days before the event. This is subject to their availability of course - occasionally we get breakdowns, just like their original owners did!
On some of the busier days we may have more trolleybuses out than we can run at any one time. In these instances, trolleybuses will be substituted during the day to provide more variety.
