Gift Aid

The Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft, or Sandtoft Transport Centre Ltd. to give it its formal title, is a registered charity for heritage, historical and educational purposes.  This does assist the museum in obtaining some grants from local and regional authorities although these are difficult to secure from cash strapped authorities.

The main benefit is, since the re-organisation of the rules for Gift Aid from 2000, refunds of Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax can be obtained on membership fees and any other financial donations to the Museum. This is provided that the member or donator is an UK tax payer and has completed the relevant declaration form.

A link to this form is below on this page, or can be obtained in person from the Museum. Please complete and send to the registered address at the foot of the form. Alternatively, it may be handed in at the entrance kiosk or shop at The Museum.

There is a vast range of projects which the Museum needs to spend money on. From routine maintenance of Museum owned vehicles to buildings, equipment and new projects for expansion and improvement. There is no shortage of things on which we can spend money, only a shortage of funds. Please help us in maximising the funds available to us by signing up to Gift Aid. It does not involve you in any additional expenditure but adds another 28.2% to you subscription or donation. Once signed, the Gift Aid declaration remains in force until you advise us that you are no longer a tax payer.
