Sandtoft Transport Centre Limited is managed by a Board of Directors, supported by a team of departmental managers. The Directors have the dual role of being both directors of the Company and trustees of the charity.

Under the scheme administered by Arts Council England, the Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft is an Accredited Museum, number 2099.
Health and Safety
The Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft has a comprehensive Health and Safety Policy and has strict guidelines covering all of its operations. All operating trolleybuses at the Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft are subject to an annual check and are stringently tested before they are passed as being fit to carry passengers.
Operation and funding
The Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft is operated entirely by volunteers. The Museum is funded entirely from the generosity of donors and benefactors, and the efforts of its volunteers. When deemed appropriate for specific projects, the Museum may seek grant funding from external bodies.
Sandtoft Transport Centre is registered with HM Revenue and Customs under the Gift Aid scheme.
The Museum is supported by three Contributing Societies -
